Company History

Since its founding in 1992, PolyMod Technologies has proven to be a major player within the sealing industry by maintaining a firm commitment to customer service, quality, and innovation. Soon after its establishment, founder William S. Shamban assembled a dedicated research and development team to drive material and design breakthroughs.

In 1993, the company secured an international patent for its proprietary friction-reduction process, proudly named PolyMod^®. Just one year later, in 1994, PolyMod became the first company to develop an approved material meeting NAS1613 requirements for elastomer seal elements in hydraulic systems using phosphate ester fluids. Building on this achievement, the company introduced its NAS1613-approved material, E3 (EPDM), and has since expanded its portfolio with additional high-performance materials that comply with critical aerospace and defense standards, including MIL-P-83461, MIL-R-83248, and AMS-P-25732.
