Company History

Since its founding in 1992, PolyMod® Technologies Inc. has revolutionized the sealing industry by prioritizing customer service, quality, and innovation. This was set in motion soon after our founding when a core research and development team was created by founder, William S. Shamban, to facilitate design and material innovation.

In 1993, we received our international patent for our friction reduction process, proudly named “PolyMod®”. Shortly after, in 1994, PolyMod® Technologies Inc. was the first company to develop an approved material to meet NAS1613 requirements for elastomer seal elements for use in hydraulic systems using phosphate ester fluids. In the years following the introduction of our NAS1613 approved material, E3 (EPDM), our commitment to innovation and quality has allowed us to develop additional materials to meet various other standards including MIL-P-83461, MIL-R-83248, and AMSP25732.

Certification and Industry Involvement

To stay competitive and trusted in the sealing industry, PolyMod® has maintained AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certifications for over 25 years. Our active participation with standards organizations like SAE and NFPA ensures we stay aligned with aerospace sealing solutions and industry requirements. This commitment enables us to deliver reliable, high-performance engineered sealing solutions designed to meet evolving customer needs.

Our devotion to optimizing the customer experience begins with a highly diverse range of PolyMod® products available to customers. To satisfy the demands for numerous applications and market requirements, our products range from standard O-Ring profiles to custom engineered seals. Within this expansive range of products are seals that have effectively and reliably served markets such as Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, and Energy for more than 30 years.
