DeltaMod™ Face Seal

DeltaMod Face Seal

A unique geometry designed to maximize performance in the high pressure and abnormal clearance gap conditions that face seals are now exposed. It utilizes a triangular shaped PolyFluor™ ring energized by a uniquely shaped elastomer. This PolyFluor™ ring uses the full depth of the seal gland to optimize the material exposure and ensure maximum extrusion protection under the most adverse conditions. The unique elastomer provides seal force at low pressure and continuously forces the PolyFluor™ ring again

The DeltaMod™ Face Seal elastomer element is availablein a wide variety of elastomeric materials e.g. nitrile, fluoroelastomer, ethylene propylene, etc. The PolyFluor™ ring element is available in most PolyFluor™ and some PolyTel™ materials.

Operating Ranges

Temperature: approximately -65°F to +392°F (-54°C to +200°C), depending on the elastomer energizer compound

Pressure: up to 5000 psi (35 MPa)

FluoroFlex™ Internal Seal

FluoroFlex Internal Seal

Single acting sealing element comprising a PolyFluor™ U-shaped ring and a metal spring energizer. This is for use in radial-static applications with internal pressure. The FluoroFlex™ External Seal has highly specific surface pressure which provides for very good sealing action.  It can be gas-tight even at low temperatures. FluoroFlex™ seals are resistant to most liquids and chemicals.

FluoroFlex™ seals are available in most PolyFluor™ materials.

Operating Ranges

Temperature: approximately -238°F to +440°F (-150°C to +225°C)

Pressure: up to 5000 psi (35 MPa)

FluoroFlex™ Axial Seal

Single acting sealing element comprising a PolyFluor™ U-shaped ring and a metal spring energizer. It has highly specific surface pressure which provides for very good sealing action.  The FluoroFlex™ Axial seal can be gas-tight even at low temperatures.  It is resistant to most liquids and chemicals.

FluoroFlex™ seals are available in most PolyFluor™ materials.

Operating Ranges

Temperature: approximately -238°F to +440°F (-150°C to +225°C)

Pressure: up to 7250 psi (50 MPa)

Square Ring

Static Square Ring

Elastomeric square ring for direct contact static seals and cap energizers. These seals have high sealing efficiency and shape stability.

Available in many nitrile, ethylene propylene and fluoroelastomer formulations.

Operating Ranges

Pressure: up to 7250 psi (50 MPa) and higher, depending on gap sizes

Temperature range: approximately -65°F to +392°F (-54°C to +200°C), depending on the elastomer choice

O-Ring

O-Ring

Elastomer seal for static applications and as a cap energizer.

Can be supplied in a wide variety of elastomeric materials e.g. nitrile, fluoroelastomer, ethylene propylene, neoprene, silicone, fluorosilicone, etc. PolyMod® low friction O-Rings, recommended for applications requiring low stiction and/or friction, are available in all materials except silicone and fluorosilicone. UltraMod™ low friction O-rings are the preferred choice for the lowest stiction O-Rings available in fluoroelastomer compounds.

Temperature range: approximately -178°F to +500°F (-117°C to +260°C), depending on the elastomer choice

Q-Ring

Elastomer seal for static applications. Q-Rings have  O-Rings have increased resistance to rolling in the gland compared to O-Rings.

Available in various elastomers. PolyMod® and UltraMod™ low friction Q-Rings are recommended for applications requiring low stiction and improved wear. PolyMod® Q-Rings are available in all materials except silicone and fluorosilicone. UltraMod™ Q-Rings are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only.

Temperature range: approximately -148°F to +500°F (-100°C to +260°C), depending on the compound

Back-Up Ring

back-up ring

Provided as part of a seal assembly to prevent seal-extrusion. Back-up rings are generally used with system pressures of approximately 1150 psi (8 MPa) to 10000 psi (69 MPa). These can be supplied in solid, scarf cut and spiral designs.

Available in most PolyFluor™ and PolyTel™ materials.
