O-Ring View Drawing
Double acting seal for static and dynamic applications. Can be supplied in materials to meet all Military and Aerospace Specifications e.g. nitrile, fluoroelastomer, ethylene propylene, neoprene, silicone, fluorosilicone, etc.
Temperature range: approximately -178°F to +500°F (-117°C to +260°C), depending on the compound.
PolyMod® low friction O-Rings are available in all materials except silicone and fluorosilicone. UltraMod™ low friction O-Rings are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only.
Square Ring View Drawing
Elastomeric rubber square ring for direct contact static seals, cap energizers and in special applications - dynamic seals. High sealing efficiency and shape stability. Available in many aerospace formulations. They have dimensions similar to O-Rings.
Operating Ranges:
Pressure: up to 7250 psi (50 MPa) and higher, depending on gap sizes.
Temperature: approximately -65°F to +392°F (-54°C to +200°C), depending on the elastomer choice.
PolyMod® low friction Square Rings are available in all materials except silicone and fluorosilicone. UltraMod™ low friction Square Rings are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only.
Q-Ring View Drawing
A double acting seal for static and dynamic applications. Available in various elastomers. Lower friction than O-Rings. Can also be used for seals on rotating shafts.
Temperature range: approximately -148°F to +500°F (-100°C to +260°C), depending on the compound.
PolyMod® low friction Q-Rings are available in all materials except silicone and fluorosilicone. UltraMod™ low friction Q-Rings are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only.
Back-Up Ring View Drawing
Provided as part of a seal assembly to prevent seal-extrusion. Used with system pressures of approximately 1150 psi (8 MPa) to 10000 psi (69 MPa). Can be supplied in solid, scarf cut and spiral designs. Can be supplied in AMS 3678 materials or special PolyFluor™ and PolyTel™ materials for unique applications.
U-Cup Piston View Drawing
Single acting seal for dynamic applications. Two U-Cups, installed in separate grooves, heel to heel, are required for use on a piston. U-Cups are compact and versatile lip type seals. Can be supplied in a wide range of cross sections, diameters, and several configurations, e.g. AN style, rounded or flat lips, symmetric or asymmetric. This coupled with the wide range of available elastomer materials or compounds result in a versatile line of sealing devices. PolyMod® and UltraMod™ U-Cups are low friction and long life seals.
Operating Ranges:
Temperature: approximately -65°F to +400°F (-54°C to +204°C), depending on the elastomer compound.
Pressure: In general, pressures up to 1000 psi (7 MPa); higher pressures possible depending on seal configuration and the use of Back-Up Rings.
PolyMod® low friction U-Cups are available in most materials- exceptions are silicone and fluorosilicone. UltraMod™ low friction U-Cups are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only.
U-Cup Rod View Drawing
Single acting seal for dynamic applications. U-Cups are compact and versatile lip type seals. Can be supplied in a wide range of cross sections, diameters, and several configurations, e.g. AN style, rounded or flat lips, symmetric or asymmetric. This coupled with the wide range of available elastomer materials or compounds result in a versatile line of sealing devices. PolyMod® and UltraMod™ U-Cups are low friction and long life seals and can be used in tandem with rod wipers or rod scrapers, e.g. FluoroWipe™ Scraper.

Temperature: approximately -65°F to +400°F (-54°C to +204°C), depending on the elastomer compound.

The reduced footprint and the PolyMod® or UltraMod™ elastomer provide for both low friction and long wear life while maintaining excellent leakage control. UltraMod™low friction DeltaMod™ Piston Seals are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only.
Operating Ranges:
Speed: reciprocating motion up to approximately 10 ft/s (3.1 m/s).
Temperature: approximately -65°F to +392°F (-54°C to +200°C), depending on the elastomer compound.

Buffer Ring Piston View Drawing
Single acting seal for pistons subjected to dynamic loads. Used together with an O-Ring. Moves easily, no stick-slip effect, wear-resistant. In higher pressure systems it buffers the pressure to prevent seal damage and minimize leakage.

Buffer Ring Rod View Drawing
Single acting sealing element for sealing dynamically stressed rods. Used together with an O-Ring. Easy-moving, no stick-slip effect, wear-resistant. In higher pressure systems it buffers the pressure to prevent seal damage and minimize leakage. Optimum sealing properties are achieved with a tandem arrangement with a PolyEx™ exclusion device.
Operating Ranges:

AP™ Seal View Drawing
Double acting seal for pistons for dynamic applications. Installed together with an O-Ring or Square Ring and a PolyMod® or UltraMod™ Q-Ring. Low friction, no stick-slip, wear-resistant. UltraMod™ low friction Q-Rings are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only.
Advantages: good sealing between two different media, e.g. fluid/gases.
Operating Ranges:
Dynamic Pressure: up to approximately 5800 psi (40 MPa), higher static pressure is possible.
Speed: up to approximately 10 ft/s (3 m/s).
Temperature: approximately -65°F to +392°F (-54°C to +200°C), depending on the elastomer compound.
PolyCap™ Piston View Drawing
Double acting seal for pistons subjected to dynamic loads. Fits into standard O-Ring grooves. Moves easily, no stick-slip effect, wear-resistant.

For longer seal life, it is recommended that a PolyMod® or UltraMod™ low friction O-Ring be used.

FluoroCap™ Piston View Drawing
The FluoroCap™ Piston Seal assembly has a unique geometry that allows for a thicker PTFE cap and distributes seal force over a broader area which serves to reduce friction and extends service life beyond that for the PolyCap™ Seal. Recommended primarily as a reciprocating seal but it can be used in static applications.

PolyEx™ Exclusion Device View Drawing
Double Wiper with O-Ring energizer that provides extremely good sealing and wiping action both inside and outside the system. PolyEx™ is suitable for robust applications. It has effective scraping lips and acts as a secondary seal. PolyEx™ Exclusion Device is available in several PolyFluor™ materials.

RotoGlide Ring View Drawing
RotoGlide Rings are designed to seal pivoting, helically moved and rotating pistons, rods and shafts. All operating conditions and system variables must be reviewed before RotoGlide Rings can be recommended.

DeltaMod™ Face Seal View Drawing
The DeltaMod™ Face Seal is a unique geomentry designed to maximize performance in the high pressure and abnormal clearance gap conditions that face seals are now exposed. It utilizes a triangular shaped PolyFluor™ ring energized by a uniquely shaped elastomer. This PolyFluor™ ring uses the full depth of the seal gland to optimize the material exposure and ensure maximum extrusion protection under the most adverse conditions. The unique elastomer provides seal force at low pressure and continously forces the PolyFluor™ ring against the clearance gap to prevent extrusion of the elastomer component.

PolyMod® low friction custom seals are available in most materials except silicone and fluorosilicone. UltraMod™ low friction custom seals are available in fluoroelastomer compounds only. Custom machined parts can be provided out of quality PolyFluor™ or PolyTel™ materials.
